This year in review....
Well...since I haven't posted in awhile, so I thought I'd do a year in review. Work: I hate working where I have no real control...nothing new right? Not Work: Well I had an apartment up until August. Long story short...someone tried to be nice, we left the apartment, they got screwed...I'm back home. Added the deck on I'd wanted for awhile, that's about it. Cleaned, reorganized, few other little projects. Hoping to clear my old room out and make it into something more useful...though that'll be a long project in 2010 (yeah...not the remaining 3 days of this year, F that) I did managed to teach myself how to swim this year...almost completely by accident. Small benefit of the small pool we had at the apartment, plus the gym membership with junior olympic size swimming pools. I wouldn't trust myself in a lake for fun...but in an emergency...maybe! What else. Well...there ain't a lot else. I've wasted me a bunch of time playing World of Warcraft. Grilling at times. Collecting DVDs. Oh I did buy my first Mac this year. :P Maybe sad that that is a highlight...but I'm happy. Still haven't found a way to overcome the giant boredom I get at times. Whether it was living in knoxville or here...it still takes a truckload of stuff to keep me entertained it seems! Beyond that...I think i'll let it be for awhile. I'll try to post more...I really wish I had a nice way to link all my stuff. Well....
Catch up time. Since most of ya that read this don't know. Coming August 1, I won't have an apartment anymore...or a roommate. Nothing happened, just some family stuff for my roommate so she's decided to move in with her family to help them out with some issues. My options were to keep the place, pay the 650 in rent (or more if its month to month), 50-100 for electricity, and another 75 ish for cable/internet....then whatever food.... ..after all that, I'd still be living alone again. ORRRR.... I can take what stuff I have here back home, store a few things from there, and live there again...mostly alone still and save all that money. Use some of it to fix up the house, which soon will be signed over to me. I can always move in back down here. For such a great place, and it really has been, to live there is a lot of openings still. Everything is leaving on good terms with the manager, he's even helping us get the deposit back with some create contract rearranging. Since we just signed a lease, its a nice enough setup to get some money back though!
So the final result is I've decided to go back home. Move my nice, smaller bed, in there and store my queen. Then I can go back to hording money like before and improving the house too. I've been in a buildy/fixy mood, so it is good...I guess. I am gonna miss it though, it has been fun, maybe the best year of my life in terms of being happier in a long time lol. | | Monday, June 29th, 2009 | | 4:15 pm |
